(Wausau) – This week the Woodchucks would like to welcome Creighton infielder Jake Peter to their 2012 roster.  Only a freshman, Jake has already proved to be a force in the Blue Jays lineup.  Playing in six of the eight games so far this season, Jake leads the team with a blistering .474 batting average.  Just this past weekend, he hit and even .500 in 3 games against UC-Davis.

Jake was also a decorated high school player in Mason City, Iowa.  He led his team to back-to-back state tournaments while earning all-conference, all-area, and all-state honors.  Was also voted the state player of the year and holds single season records in home runs and career records in home runs, RBI, hits, runs and doubles.
